Whether you’re trying ceramics for the first time, looking for a creative night out, or building a new hobby, this workshop offers a friendly, supportive introduction to working with clay.
What You’ll Make
During the 1–2 hour workshop (€35), you’ll create one to two ceramic pieces using traditional hand-building techniques such as pinching, slab-building, and simple sculpting.
If you’d like, you can also have a go on one of the two pottery wheels, depending on availability during the session.
Popular pieces include:
-
Cups or beakers
-
Small bowls or dishes
-
Plates or trinket trays
-
Planters
-
Simple sculptural or decorative forms
You’ll shape your piece from raw clay, add texture or pattern, and refine the form with guidance throughout. After the session, your work will be dried and fired in the kiln.
If you return for the 1-hour decorating session (€25), you’ll decorate your fired piece with colour and surface detail. The studio will then apply a clear, food-safe glaze before the final firing. If you choose not to attend the decorating session, your pieces will be simply glazed by the studio.
